Put it in your Diary.  Sunday 31st May 2026. Tens of thousands of runners will take to the streets of Manchester to take on the City’s, Annual,  most loved, AJ Bell Great Manchester 10K Run. In true Mancunian style, it’s a party from start to finish, with a high-energy soundtrack, live music and entertainment zones at every turn – plus, some of the loudest and most enthusiastic local support we’ve seen anywhere in the UK.

10 places have been reserved to help All Aboard Youth Rowing.  So far, the following generous supporters have agreed to take place, each signing up to generate a minimum of £500 each to help our Charity.

All Aboard Youth Rowing (AAYR) is a Warrington-based Charity that enhances young people’s lives by introducing them to rowing and changing the sport’s elitist image.

Our evidence shows that participants improve their happiness, confidence, well-being, attendance, and school outcomes. Since 2017, we have built a robust model and are now delivering in Greater Manchester, Merseyside and North Staffordshire.

The young people chosen to attend either qualify for pupil premium funding or have a diagnosis of SEND and are not necessarily sporty; instead, they are those who will benefit from a setting where they can slowly build confidence in an outdoor, supportive environment.

Your support really will make a difference. Thank you

AAYR Indoor Championships! Can you help?

Indoor Rowing GymOur next All Aboard Youth Rowing Indoor Championships will take place on Thursday 22nd January 2026 and will host Year 8 and 9 students from the 43 schools which participate on our programme. And we need your help!

This event provides students with the exciting and unique opportunity to compete for their school in an individual and a team (relay) race.

A fantastic experience for the young people, it relies heavily on a huge number of volunteers.

“Helping today has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done! Seeing the excitement and pride in those children is priceless! I’ll definitely be helping again next year!” (Volunteer from our 2024 event!)

There are loads of ways you can help – from helping to set up the rowing machines to supporting and cheering on a young athlete – and it’s such a great thing to do!

If you can help us on the day, please let us know! No experience necessary!

TOP TIP: If you’d normally be working on that day, check if Employer Supported Volunteering is something that’s available at your place of work!

CAN YOU HELP ON THE DAY?

ALSO… Sponsorship and partnering possibilities available for all budgets.
